Pours as semi opaque, very light golden, with a generous delicate white pillow like head. Smell is oddly almost non -existent. Taste lemon, some spices? Feels well put together by it’s sheer simplicity, nice carbonation , medium body, finishes juicy. This beer is Uber refreshing- Recommend. Not as spiced as some other wit bier, which in a way makes it better.

A very smooth, citrusey beer with nice color and a sweet flavor. It’s an Icelandic beer and I am having the beer while on vacation in Iceland, which may be improving the ratings.

Look: Hazy pale yellow. Two fingers of white head with decent retention.

Smell: Hops, coriander, citrus.

Taste: Mild wheat malt, orange peel, gentle spices, mild hops.

Mouthfeel: Average body, good carbonation.

Overall: A refreshing and light beer for the summer.

Very interesting beer pours beautifully white and hazy. I drank it very cold in a frost glass and I really enjoyed it! This has become my favorite beer.

Look: Slightly hazy straw yellow body; a finger of bright white sudsy head that disappears quickly; little lacing left on the glass.

Smell: Smells like a wit should. There are notes of citrus and coriander, but overall, the smell is a bit light.

Taste: Oranges and coriander are the apparent flavors. Again, tastes like a wit, but perhaps a bit watered down.

Feel: Light-bodied, crisp, and extremely crushable.

Overall: This one utilizes all of the taste and smell elements that a wit should, but the product tastes a little to thin compared to the good representatives of the style. Nonetheless, for mass-produced witbier that doesn’t come from Belgium, it’s a worthy buy. I could easily and happily drink 10 of these in a row.

Wow, what a fantastical brew! I feel like THOR came down and blessed this with his mighty hammer! This one has a ton of character and redeem-ability to it! This is a refreshing beer and an awesome one to get a nice change from a wit or a Belgian white.

Slight haze to it yet able to see through the beer. Color is a nice light golden color. Two and a half fingers of foamy, soapy white head. Very sticky lacing all around and down the glass.

Smells of some spice, something like coriander. Slight hints of bananas and bubblegum.

Taste kind of follows the nose. Seems like those smells are like a radio that is out of tune and you mainly get static. The flavors just seem a bit muted. The taste is like a refreshing muted Wit, that is the best descriptor I have got.

Mouth is light and has just a slight wet finish to it.

Overall I like the beer! Strange because the flavors are so muted that this may seem a bit dull. However the beer redeems itself in just being a refreshing drink of beer. I really like the appearence, the color and lacing are so nice. The smell is pleasent and the mouth feel makes this very easy drinking. I think I could see this being a great summer day BBQ beer when you just feel like wetting your whistle with a quality beverage.

I paid a whopping $11 for this beer but I won’t hold that against it in my review. Supply and demand and all that. It pours a light hazy yellow color with a nice head. The orange and coriander aromas are obvious but I find it lacked a spicey kick usually part of a witbier? Light and crispy. Moderate carbonation and liitle bitterness with a smooth finish. Enjoyed it. Despite the price! Hey I’m not likely to visit Iceland so….drink!

33 ml bottle into a pint glass.

Pours amber with a decent head.

Mild aroma of lightly spiced orange bread and orange juice.

The lightly sweet flavor follows.

Light+ body with medium carbonation.

Look – great tannish light yellow hazy color

Smell – coriander scent and wheat

Taste – slight spice and citrus orange and wheat

Feel – medium body and medium light carbonation

Overall – pretty good white ale

Pours a hazy straw yellow color with a thin white head.

The smell biscuit and lemon. The coriander is also clearly present underneath.

The taste is slightly sweet and the coriander comes through fairly strong. Also present is some breadiness and a very small hint of citrus.

The mouthfeel is medium/high carbonation and slightly thick.

Overall a nice beer. Not a ton of depth but I like coriander in beer.

Wasn’t quite sure what to expect until I actually held it in my hands: it is a white beer as in the Berliner Weisse, although not as sour (unfortunately) but not as yeasty as a belgian wit (luckily). It says coriander and orange peel on the bottle, I rather smell it than feel it in the taste. Overall it is rather like a blonde or a golden ale, mild and light bodied with this slightly funky feel to it.

Not bad but if you compare it with the Prairie Artisan Ales, it is a far cry from what I would call something serious. Maybe the bavarian hops are what make them fail – you would need a true American hop to funk it all up, and of course some true brewing mastery to bring the funk out…

First of all, that Viking on the label is hot! I thought this was a tastyyyy choice! Great head, pretty color, and smells good. Taste is a teeny bit thin but overall, I super enjoyed this beer!

Poured a hazy shade of gold with a white head. Very little retention on the head and the aromas were subtle. Upon taste there is a tinge of oats among the wheat flavors. Very refreshing and I believe the icelandic water adds enough difference to make it noteworthy. The orange peel and coriander add a but of bitterness that is noticeable but does not linger. Probably would pair well lighter fair such as chicken or salmon.

This beer looks amazing. Tall densely packed fluffy white head on atop a clear yellow gold body. Smell is – strangely enough – sweet, mellow, hint of maple syrup and almost a nice warm eggo waffle batter note. Trace of of tangerine/cutie peel. Taste is very rounded and smooth – mellow. Slightly sweet hawaiian bread note and, also strange, I get a little bit of blueberry followed by a hint of tangerine peel. I say tangerine peel because it comes across thinner and not as oily and orange peel.

This isn’t the typical profile of witbier that I’m used to… but it’s still very well executed and super smooth. I got virtually no coriander and hardly any citrus. But there’s something about that water.

Bought cheap as was heavily discounted at the supermarket. Poured cold from bottle into standard pint glass.

Look is quite hazy, one finger head. Very white.

Malty smell, nothing else really.

Very malty, lots of lingering taste, a little bit of spice and very nice after taste of toffee.

I thought this might have been as little bit of a novelty as only only Icelandic foodstuffs I had ever come across before where cod and skyr. But a very tasty drinking ale.

Would pair well with a nice slice of sponge cake or sponge pudding.

Appearance: Clean golden with a thick white head and webby lace. Attractive!

Aroma: Subtle maltiness, sweet alongside coriander spiciness coming around the edges. Nice.

T

aste: Smooth and balanced, with a wonderful mix of spice, malts, and some fruitiness in the orange peel. The oats add an extraordinary smoothness here that mainstream witbiers could learn a lot from. Exquisite and top-shelf here. A damned great witbier!

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass at the World of Beer in Brownwood, FL. The appearance is a slightly cloudy straw color with a large white head. The aroma is mild wheat and some spice. The taste is wheat driven.

This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a hazy yellow color with a slight transparency about it allowing a light stringy carbonation to be seen rising. A one finger white foamy head dissipated within less than twenty seconds. Mild ringy lacing stuck in rings. The smell had a nice sweet orange peel and lemon with a slightly spice to balance (coriander) adds a nice touch. The taste was slightly sweet and spicy through the citrus and coriander. There’s no aftertaste nor finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a good sessionability about it. Carbonated nicely, this one strolls delicately across my tongue in a sweet sticky way. Overall, I say this was a pretty good witbier, definitely would have again.

Very promising pour…

a) That fills glass with 4 fingers of meringue head, and spackles glass with lasting lace and a film cap over a clear yellow body.

s) classic wit: coriander, wheat, pilsner, brightness, spice, orange, mineral water.

t) clean – it’s the water – minerally – sets it above most – all the savory flavors in a favorable summer wit. Scrubbing citrus zest., with floral, peppery finish. Perfect.

M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Crisp. Nice finish. Clean.

O: Best or as good as any wit ale ever.

Thick pillowy head of microbubbles. Aroma is light like flavors- slight breadiness, dough, lemon. Pros crisp, light, refreshing. Cons kinda stale, bland, almost flavorless. 78/100

Pours a hazy pale golden-yellow color with a thick and creamy white head that has great retention. Smells of toasted wheat, coriander, hints of orange, toasted cracker malt. Tastes of clean wheat, followed by coriander and orange peel, finishes dry with subtle slickness, lingers if clean toasted malt. Medium body and carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish. Easy drinking wit with high drinkability

Hazy, lemon yellow body; fluffy, sticky, white head. Citrus and freshly cut grass aroma intermingled with light cereal grain notes; lemon meringue. The flavor mirrors the aroma; some tart twanginess; very light layer of bitterness. Medium-heavy body; crisp and dry with a soft tartness and bite.

The very pleasant beer has a lot going for it. It is very well-balanced and delivers depth and complexity throughout. The wheat, oats and yeast bring a nice, toasty quality that is counterbalanced with a soft, mildly spicy and deft citrus aspect from the hops, orange peel, and coriander. Very delightful…
