In Iceland, Sumardagurinn Fyrsti marks the first day of summer and the much-anticipated arrival of warmer temperatures and long summer days. At Einstök, we celebrate the months of seemingly endless daylight with this limited-edition ale. The witbier flavors, combined with tasty bilberries hand-picked near the Arctic Circle, bring you this refreshing ale to help conquer your summer adventures. But, enjoy it while you can, because it will quickly disappear with the midnight sun.

What are Bilberries?

Bilberries are dark blue edible fruits found all over Iceland. They strongly resemble blueberries because of their similar color and round, small shape. However, the main difference is that bilberries are slightly smaller and more flavorful than blueberries. During the summer, Berjamór, or going to the Icelandic countryside and picking ripe berries, is a widely popular activity in Iceland.
